First MegaCube™ Successfully Delivered in Bulgaria, High-Efficiency Deployment Wins High Recognition from Customers

The first commercial project of the innovative product MegaCube™ Prefabricated Rapid Energy Storage Module under LINDEMANN-REGNER Group has been successfully delivered and commissioned at an energy storage power station near Sofia, Bulgaria. The project took only 15 weeks from order placement to final commissioning, which is more than 60% shorter than the industry average cycle. The on-site installation was completed in only 48 hours, and successful commissioning was achieved in one go. With its extreme delivery efficiency and deployment experience, it has won high praise from the local Bulgarian energy group, laying a solid foundation for the large-scale promotion of MegaCube™ in the European market.
Urgent Demand Spawns Efficient Solution, Full-Process Delivery Completed in 15 Weeks
The delivered project is a supporting energy storage project built by a local Bulgarian energy group to meet the expansion needs of local photovoltaic power stations, with a capacity of 30MWh. The core requirement is „rapid commissioning to ensure the power supply of the facility“. According to the project manager, due to the time constraints of local demand, the reserved cycle from project planning to commissioning is only 20 weeks. The traditional energy storage solution is difficult to meet the demand due to the long delivery and commissioning cycle.
LINDEMANN-REGNER, relying on the product advantages of MegaCube™ and a mature supply chain system, proposed a full-process solution of „15-week delivery + 72-hour installation + plug-and-play“, which became a key factor in the project cooperation.
„From signing the order in mid-June 2025 to completing the commissioning in early September, the entire cycle was 4 weeks earlier than we expected,“ said Ivan Stoyanov, Director of the New Energy Business Unit of the local Bulgarian energy group. During the project advancement, LINDEMANN-REGNER’s factory prefabrication model greatly shortened the on-site operation time. Especially during the peak period of European summer supply chain transportation, the product was still delivered on time, fully demonstrating the enterprise’s performance capabilities.
72-Hour Rapid Installation, Successful Commissioning in One Go Sets Industry Benchmark
The core advantage of MegaCube™’s „full factory prefabrication“ has been fully verified in this project. Unlike the traditional energy storage system that requires a team of dozens of people to spend weeks on component assembly, wiring, and commissioning on-site, the MegaCube™ delivered this time has completed the integration, wiring, and multi-scenario simulation commissioning of all core components before leaving the factory.
On the project site, only a 9-person team used conventional hoisting equipment to complete basic operations such as module fixing, grounding, and external grid connection, and all installation work was completed within 48 hours.
What is more noteworthy is that after the system was powered on, it directly entered the trial operation phase. All key indicators met the design standards, achieving successful commissioning in one go. „We originally prepared a one-week commissioning plan, but we did not expect that all parameters fully met the requirements after power-on, directly entering a stable operation state,“ said the on-site project engineer. The refined commissioning of MegaCube™ completed in the factory environment effectively avoided the interference of the on-site environment on the system performance. This feature of „meeting standards when leaving the factory“ greatly reduced the on-site technical threshold.
Seamless Adaptation to European and American Standards, Stable Operation Gains Practical Verification
As the first project targeting the European market, MegaCube™’s standard adaptation capability also performed brilliantly. Before leaving the factory, the product has completed EU CE certification and German VDE certification, fully complying with the local Bulgarian grid connection standards, and can be directly connected to the local grid system and monitoring platform without additional technical modifications.
Data from the first week of commissioning shows that the system operates stably under different load conditions, with a charging and discharging efficiency of over 95% and a 25% increase in the proportion of renewable energy, fully meeting the project design requirements.
Mark Schulz, Sales Director of LINDEMANN-REGNER in Europe, said: „The successful delivery of the first project confirms the efficiency and reliability of MegaCube™ in practical application scenarios. This cooperation with Bulgaria is not only the successful landing of the product but also the construction of a European market service model of ‚rapid response + standard adaptation + efficient deployment‘.“ According to him, 8 projects from countries such as Germany, Spain, and Italy have currently signed MegaCube™ procurement agreements, among which 3 projects have entered the production phase.
Benchmark Effect Emerges, Accelerating the Transformation of European Energy Storage Deployment
Industry insiders analyze that the successful commissioning of the Bulgarian project provides a new „rapid deployment“ model for the European energy storage industry. Against the background of the accelerated European energy transformation and the surge in demand for energy storage projects, MegaCube™’s delivery model effectively solves the pain points of traditional solutions such as „uncontrollable construction periods, unstable quality, and high operation and maintenance costs“. It is especially suitable for scenarios with strict requirements on commissioning time, such as new energy supporting facilities and grid peak shaving.
The relevant Bulgarian customer has clearly stated that it will continue to adopt the MegaCube™ solution in the subsequent wind power supporting energy storage projects and plans to promote this model to other energy projects under its umbrella. LINDEMANN-REGNER stated that it will take the Bulgarian project as a starting point to further optimize the supply chain layout in Europe, shorten the delivery cycle to less than 14 weeks, and provide efficient and reliable energy storage solutions for more European customers.
